Description: Up for sale we have a nice knife was made by a legend in knife-making. Frank Richtig created knives in Clarkson, Nebraska in 1927 up until his death in 1977. Frank Richtig had a secret steel tempering process that allowed him to slice through railroad spikes and automobile leaf springs. Frank would demonstrate this at county fairs--after slicing a railroad spike or leaf spring, he would slice through a piece of paper with the same knife. Frank earned himself a spot in a 'Ripley's Believe It or Not' magazine in the 1930's. These knives can be used for decades, because of Frank's superior craftsmanship. This knife has the soldiers name on the scabbard and can be researched pretty easy. I punched his name up and info came up easy. This is unmarked as many of his WW2 knives were. Very sharp still and grip is very tight. Has some light pitting on blade I have not even tried to touch. A very rare double edged fighting knife you usually do not see from him. This knife measures 10 1/2" overall. The blade itself measures 5 5/8". Very very sharp still!!!!! The guard and pommel are brass. This will be insured and sent either USPS Express mail of UPS 3 day. I will not ship to China or Russia.
