Description: This once belonged to an enlisted Army Air Force Corps of Engineers technician (4th grade) involved in the China India Burma theatre in WW2. He appeared to be part of a particularly meritorious unit as the Meritorious Unit Commendation patch has an uncommon star in the center. This is just speculation but the AAF engineers were involved with building the Stilwell Road - was this soldier involved with this difficult engineering task during WW2? Those engineers would certainly be deserving of meritorious service. Does have the soldier's name if willing to research. Condition is good for a uniform of this age - has all buttons and no major tears. Does have small holes in places and the most annoying aspect is this seemed to have came into contact with melting plastic which you can see on the bottom of the right sleeve and on front bottom right side of the jacket (see pictures). This will not be easy to remove.
