Description: For sale is a very nice US WW2 M1 fixed bale front seam McCord helmet. Includes Mine Safety appliance co. original liner with a repair in the front on the webbing. No exterior paint on the liner. Has name (Hook) and laundry number on webbing. Sweatband and leather chinstrap are reproductions from At The Front. Shell is very nice. As far as I can tell the paint and texture are Original. No visible cracks in shell (which is unusual for a fixed bale McCord). Rim is stainless steel and is solid. I Cannot find a heat stamp number on this helmet, but don't want to damage the paint looking for one. Most fixed bale McCords were made before around mid 1943. I know it is a McCord from the side profile. Comes with helmet net, which I think is original, but not guaranteed. Overall a very nice example for a collection or display. Please ask any questions before bidding.
