Description: America at WarAboard the USS Lexington in 1944 This is a nice reproduction of an original World War Two photo showing a scene from aboard the USS Lexington (CV-16) in 1944. I believe this is US Navy Ace Alex Vraciu and Admiral Mitscher. The Lexington, also called "The Blue Ghost" was an Essex class carrier launched in 1943 and named for the USS Lexington (CV-2) lost during the Battle of the Coral Sea in 1942. The Lexington is now a museum ship in Corpus Christi, Texas. Size of photo is about 5" x 5". Click Here to Receive My E-mail Newsletters!! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
