The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics. Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased. This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during the Second World War. This particular card was printed in remembrance of: Andreas Kieser Andreas was a Private in the Auxiliary Police and fell on December 2, 1944 during a conflict with Bandits at the age of 39.
