The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics. Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased. This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during the Second World War. This particular card was printed in remembrance of: Adolf Nagl Adolf was a Private in an Elite Unit and passed on May 30, 1943 during combat with Bandits / Partisans in the Forest around Budenitschi at the age of 38.
