Description: Here’s a rare item. . It is a WWII Japanese Merchant Marine Officer Cap, from the Ship LaPlata Maru, later became a Japanese military transport and renamed Kenny Maru. Which was sunk in 1945 in Saigon harbor by U.S. aircraft. The hat came from a Japanese household recently and has never been on any auction before. It came with a Feb 1937 Menu from the LaPlata.Maru which was owned by the Japanese O.S.K. Line. The hat front insignia and side buttons have the OSK Line design as does the as does the Menu (see pictures) a dual collectible, both WWII and steamship line. Buy It Now!
