Description: WWII US M1916 Leather Holster for 1911 Pistol. The name of manufacturer can not be identified and the "US" on the outside flap can not be seen. The leather is supple and in typical condition for it's age with a strong metal belt hook and the stitching is tight and complete. There are minor shallow cracks on the front of the holsters leather but not deep enough to weaken the integrity. The brass pole fastener works as intended and the rivets holding most of the different layers together are solid. Judging by the construction of this classic holster design leads me toward a Boyt product.
