He was the husband of the late Clara (Mitchell) Doyle who died in 2004.Ed retired in 1967 from the US Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant and then was employed by Masonic Village, Elizabethtown for 17 years, retiring as assistant supervisor at the powerhouse.His military service included WWII, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. During WWII, he served in the China-Burma-India Theater as a radio operator, flew 80 round trips between India and China, 11 food drop missions to British troops in Burma and seven supply trips to the Imphal Valley.
