I see the same boots but the prices are different. Some cheaper, some more expensive. ANSWER: I don't know about the Chinese quality I only have experience with the OEM ~ (too expensive), and the Japanese and Taiwan sourced boots,.The first time i bought boots was back in the 90's and i got them NOS/OEM from YAMAHA, and I paid almost as much for them as a set of two good tires and mounting, they were expensive! Within a few years of heavy riding, even the OEM ones started surface cracking. I got scared, but it turns out that the cracks rarely go all the way thru, and you will know it, because the air leaks make it run terrible. I ran them for 18 years, they were fine, and then got these when i was doing a makeover, and had the carbs off and decided to try individual pods and also stacks. So i ran the new ones and they worked great for a fraction of the price. There was still some minor surface cracking after a few years, but i do a lot of miles, and often park in the sun. I feel confident they will work fine for 20 years, so don't trip out if they start surface cracking, as long as your vacuum caps are good, the bike will run fine. (I am sure you already know about the XS11 Pickup coil issue? and the sticky calipers, and the fuse box problems? lol) I bought 50 sets from a local shop that specialized in XS XJ series bikes, but they went out of business, i got as much XS stuff as i could, because I have been an XS11 lover, ever since 1994 when i got my 79SF.
