Each tonearm is designed and based on its own geometrical parameters (pivot to spindle distance, effective length, overhang and offset angle). In other words - all tonearms have different geometry and needs a specific (unique) arc and null points on it for an accurate alignment of cartridge/stylus! Therefore, all stock and "universal" protractors are very basic and are able to align a phono cartridge for quick start of your turntable only.
